How can I save my flowers from dieing in the cold?

I planted some flowers and then it suddenly turned cold. My flowers are drooping and beginning to look like they’re dieing. How do I save them? I don’t know what kind of flowers they are.
I planted them in the ground.

i would stay away from thin plastic as the freeze will go right through and burn the leaves. you’re best bet is if they are in the ground to cover them with a light blanket or i use bath towels. be sure to take them off in the mornings or during the day when the temps heat up. if you have to use plastic, wrap them in newspaper first, it is an insulator. good luck, i’ve been doing the same thing for the last 4 nights!

What are some fast growing plants for an aquarium?

I am currently on the hunt for some good plants for a 10 gallon tank. I am trying to convert my 10 gallon tank from fake plants to live planted tank. Do you guys know any fast growing plants that I can substitute for my fake plants?

I currently have 1 Amazon Sword Plant and 1 Cabomba Plant

Ugh… You wanted plants, right? Not infestations! Don’t get the Watersprite, if you let it go too long without trimming, you will never see your fish. Also, because it is a floating plant, it has a tendency to attract a lot of algae, which as we all know, is not generally "pretty". Most Cryptocorynes are fairly fast growers that are undemanding of nutrients and lighting. Also, Java Moss and Java Fern are extremely hardy plants that can flourish in any tank. Look into Pygmy Chain Sword, Dwarf Sag, Microsword, certain Crypts, Dwarf Hairgrass, Onion Plant, and most Vallisnera (Jungle Val, Italian Val, etc.) will make nice carpet plants. You don’t want too many plants unless you have CO2 and fertilizers (fish can’t provide plants with all the nutrients they need), so look into Flourish and possibly a DIY CO2 reactor.

what flowers do best in a flower bed in FL?

I have tried several beautiful flowers in my flower beds in front of my house but they just don’t last in this Florida heat even though I water them well in the evenings. What flowers can I plant either annuals or perenials that will last in our heat?

The only annual that does well in full sun in our Florida heat and humidity are Periwinkles. They will not stand flooded soil, so make sure the flower beds are situated so that water does not puddle up during heavy rains.
Caladiums (planted from bulbs), do very well in partial to full shade. They go dormant in the winter, so that you can interplant other annuals during the winter.
For shady areas, impatiens add alot of color. Massed plantings of a single color show off the best. Good luck.
