I want to plant some flowers to attract some butterflies. I have tons of seeds, but which flowers are good to toss into the garden?
Here are some links to plants that will create a beautiful butterfly garden and are butterfly magnets:

Most any flowering plant will attract butterflies, many have different needs. Some want large flat tops like cone flowers and others like deep petals like cannas. Look around at the native plants in your area and see what attracts butterflies, and throw those kind in the garden. Have Fun…that is what caring is all about.

Everything depends on where you live. See if you have any nurserys in your area that say they have native plants and they should be able to give you some good ideas. Also see if you have any gardening clubs or flower clubs and give them a call. I’ve noticed here that when we have bird shows. . .here people come from all over the world to see all the birds that winter here because the northern birds come south and the southern birds come north. . .anyway there are usually native plant people at those shows and they are great about advising you about butterfly gardens. Also try the web to get an idea about what grows well in your area.
