What sort of flowers is appropriate to send for a dance show?

I’ve got a good friend in the performing arts (ballet), and they’ve got a show coming up, so I wanted to send her some flowers opening night. What kind of flowers are appropriate for that sort of thing? White roses, or what?

White is close, but depending on what the theme is, might want to mix white with something that matches. White and red, white and pink.
