How do I plant strawberry plants that are not a plant yet?

I bought a bag of 10 strawberry plants, that look like roots. It says on the bag to plant covering all roots, and to be careful not to cover the crown. What does the crown on the strawberry plant look like (so I don’t cover it)? And what is a good way to grow strawberries in containers?

The crown is the part of the plant that is at soil level just above the roots.Don’t plant to deep, this site shows a picture of how deep, just scroll down

I am a retired greenhouse supervisor. Every spring I would get bare root strawberries. This is what we did to promote growth
Get some newspapers and rip into long single pages. Put two pages together, lay the long side to the bottom and fold bottom up about 2", do the same to the top. Take you bundle of Stawberries ( all 10) and start laying them one by one at the top of the folded newspaper. You can actually lay them very close or on top of one another. Make sure the head of the plants is over the top of the paper by about an inch. Once you have them laid out, fold up the bottom of the newspaper and cover the roots. Make sure bottom half is matched to the top half.. Now you have a long narrow piece of newspaper with roots in the middle. Take the end and fold over the roots, then start rolling the roots to the other end of the newspaper. Make sure you have a rubber band on had, once the strawberries are bundles use rubber band to keep newspaper bundle secure. Water the roots and newspaper until the paper is wet. Water it every day, keeping the newspaper wet. Make sure there is plenty of sun that they will be able to get each day. You will see the leaves start to bud in no time at all. We also had fertilized water so watering with miracle grow once a week will help too. Just make sure your bundles is wet everyday. I sure hope this helped. Oh do not put the wrapped bundle in the ground, you are getting the plants started this way, after they are full and green then you can plant them into the ground. Make sure you have a little sand in your soil mixture when planting them. The sand helps moisture to get to the roots.
