I would like to plants some flowers or pretty plants around my house. We recently ripped everything out. However, I am allergic to bees and incredibly afraid of them. What plants/flowers would not attract them. I have heard red flowers are good…any certain type? At this point, my house is going to be surrounded my lots of hostas unless I think of other plants.
Plastic ones! No watering, fertilizing, or pests…..
And they look good all year!

I love these plants.
Phlox, day lillies, iris; I think the idea of them not being attracted to red flowers is because hummingbirds are attracted to the red. I didn’t know bees wouldn’t pollenate red flowers. My friend was highly allergic to bees also and these flowers seemed to work best. Good Luck

Bees are attracted to red flowers just the same, but certain flowers and bushes attract them more. Don’t plant Holly bushes they LOVE them. Also the bees wont hurt you if you don’t hurt them, they don’t have a hive to perfect when their forging for nectar and pollen.
