I have a flower bed outside that needs plants in it but it doesn’t get morning sun there…just afternoon. so I’m wondering what plants i can get that are easy to take care of and doesn’t require to much sun. Thanks

You should go talk to the folks at Tom’s Thumb on 45th street in Galveston. I can think of quite a few plants that would work well there. Macho Ferns, Foxtail Ferns, Philodendron, Ixora, Crotons, Dwarf Mexican Petunia, I’ve got some tropical hibiscus that only get afternoon sun and are constant bloomers. You could put several different palms there, a Pigmy Date is just one possibility.
Most common for this are hostas, which come in a wide variety. Big fat leaves, some are multi-colored, and they have flower spikes around this time of year.
Astilbe plants go nice with them, lacy plants that flower mid-summer.

Indian Hawthorne grows well in shade and/or sun and requires little care. Depending on the space in your garden, you might want to choose the dwarf variety. Oleander is another great plant for your area if it gets 6-8 hours of sun. It also has a dwarf variety. Lantana is a lower growing plant that might work. All of these plants bloom in the late spring through summer. Good luck!
